This worked! Also for dreamcast.
Of course needed to setup the gameslist update properly afterwards in retropie_setup.sh directly via terminal.

Yes.

After this PR will be merged, it will be possible to use a separate folder for videos, just like for images, in the screensaver.

@SamuraiX51 Glad you got it sorted out and good luck with your artwork project - I'm sure it will be appreciated.

@sunwind I don't think there is such option currently.

Then it remains an option for those games which aren't included in any of the online databases. Glad that you like it. :)

Since that's actually the function bound to X, what happens when you press X in the gamelist?

Hey, i wanted to ask a somewhat related question: what could be the reason that my screensaver never plays genesis snaps when the screensaver is running? Every system i have on my retropie 4.4 makes an appearance as a random video screensaver and it doesnt matter if the snaps are located within the emulationstation folder or in the rom folder for the system itself. I'm just puzzled as to why my genesis games don't show it. Would it have anything to do with having changed all mentions of megadrive to genesis within emulationstation and this having borked whatever emulationstation looks to when seeking random videos?

@lycros Sadly, I had to put them in all manually. Im sure you figured that out by now.

I grabbed the Thin Pixel 7 font from here: https://onextrapixel.com/25-free-pixel-perfect-fonts-for-8-bit-designs/

Renamed the font file as FreeSans.ttf and FreeSansOblique.ttf (these are the two fonts that are used for the video subtitles on the screensaver), and then dropped them into /usr/share/fonts/truetype/freefont, overwriting the existing font files.

is it possible to have these as console screen savers. like when I click "a" it sends me to the console instead
